1. Psychological reasons
Most people use drugs for experiment and have fun, some people can get off and not be an addict, but for people who use it compulsively and have a psychological vulnerability, it is very easy for them to become addicts.
People who are addicted to drugs often struggle with strong emotional experience and find it difficult to handle. The most common emotional experience is anger, guilt, sadness, feeling empty and lonely. Addicts use drugs to turn off these emotions, escape from pain and improve self-esteem.
2. Social Trauma
This is related to social trauma and becomes an important cause of compulsive drug use or addiction. Social trauma can involve themselves, family or social culture.
But generally, it is usually caused by sexual abuse, emotional neglect, disturbed family environment, physical violence, terrorist violence and exile.
3. The role of genes and mental illness
Research has found a correlation between the biochemical genetics of drugs, and certain mental illnesses can also trigger a person to more easily fall into drug addiction. For that psychotherapy and increased motivation can make changes to the addicts themselves.
