Muscles no longer are effective in absorbing fat and blood sugar levels will rise.

2 . Cause weight gain
After two weeks of too much sitting, the body will experience muscle atrophy or shrinkage and decreased oxygen consumption. Ultimately, this will facilitate weight gain. Worse, it will still happen even if you exercise every day.

3 . Increase bad cholesterol
After a year, you will likely notice an increase in bad cholesterol and body weight. Just by sitting more than six hours a day, a women can lose muscle mass as much as one per cent in a year.

4 . Fasten death
The longer someone spends their time to sit, the higher the risk of death they have. Research reveals that spending more than 11 hours to sit in a day increases the risk of death by 40 percent within three years when compared to those who just sat less than four hours.

5 . Cause serious diseases 
In addition to the above, there are many serious diseases that can arise when a person sits too much in a day. Ranging from neck pain, back pain, muscle stiffness, poor balance, and even paralysis. Too long sitting can also increase the risk of cancer, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and even death.
