5 Steps to lower your risk of breast cancer
Before breast cancer, it helps if every woman take preventive measures that can reduce their risk of developing breast cancer, as reported by Inspiyr (04/03) as follows.
1. Avoid oral contraceptives and hormone therapy
In 2007, the World Health organization announced that oral contraceptives and hormone therapy containing carcinogens type 1. In other words, both of these can cause cancer in humans. No doubt both types of treatment can increase the risk of breast cancer in women. Whenever possible women should avoid both types of treatment.
2. Do not smoke
Smoking is bad for your overall health. In addition, smoking is also bad for the breasts. Smoking may increase the risk of breast cancer, especially in women who starts smoking as teens. If you have breast cancer and are still smoking, the greater the risk of death. so you should stop smoking now.
3. Avoid alcohol
Alcohol can increase the risk of breast cancer. The more alcohol you drink, the higher the risk of breast cancer. Even half a glass of wine every day can increase this risk. The best solution to prevent breast cancer is to limit the amount of alcohol you drink or do not drink alcohol at all.
4. Reduce fat
Obesity is a risk factor that can increase the likelihood of women developing breast cancer. for it, maintaining weight is the best way to reduce the risk of breast cancer. Do the right diet, eat fruits and vegetables every day, as well as the diligently exercise to maintain weight.
Lack of exercise can also increase the risk of breast cancer. The good news is that just by walking for 30 minutes four times a week, you can reduce cancer risk by 30-60 per cent. If you’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer, regular exercise can reduce the risk of death by 50 percent. You can walk for 30 minutes four times a week or do regular exercise.
Breast cancer is a disease that does not discriminate and can affect anyone. But do not worry, doing the things above will avoid you from breast cancer.
