1. Sleeping sideways
The cause of snoring is a narrowing of the airways in the palate. This will not happen if you sleep sideways. For keeping you sleep sideways, put pillows on the back. Pillows will be a barrier that prevents you from supine position.
2. Use more pillows
Use more pillows to prop up the head to remain high during sleep. When the head remained high, the air in the palate will not be blocked. Thus, allowing free air movement and prevent snoring.
3. Mouth exercise
Do the exercises of jaw, tongue and mouth will help prevent snoring. You can do this exercise by opening and closing your mouth every day. It could help the muscle around the jaw and mouth to be more relax, so that it can deliver more air and prevent snoring.
4. Avoid overeating
Eating too much may trigger a person to snore. When you eat too much food, the stomach is also not going to work harder, and it result louder snoring.
5. Reduce weight
Most people who has particularly overweight, usually will snore while sleeping. If someone’s overweight, the airway in the oral cavity will be narrow. It could trigger the occurrence of snoring. Therefore, if you are overweight, you can do diet and exercise, to eliminate or at least reduce snoring.
