Beware of Bleeding During Pregnancy

pregnancy bleeding dangersTypically, pregnant women will not menstruate during pregnancy. This is because during pregnancy a woman produces the hCG hormone to prepare the placenta so that the menstrual cycle stops during pregnancy.

But it is not impossible that a pregnant woman experience bleeding like menstruation. This is medically known as spotting during pregnancy. Due to lack of knowledge, many pregnant women panics when experiencing red spots during pregnancy.

Know the reason why women bleeds during pregnancy to see if the bleeding can be fatal to your pregnancy.

1. spotting
This type of bleeding occurs when the egg is fertilized, attached to the uterine wall so that the lining of the uterus is scraped. This causes bleeding for several days, some even bleed for a week. Normally, the blood that comes out is brown, or fresh red.

2. Bleeding after taking birth pills
Women often suffer from irregular menstrual cycles after taking birth control pills. If you have recently stopped taking birth control pills and became pregnant, then you have the risk of spotting due to hormonal changes. But this is not the real menstruation.

3. Ectopic Pregnancy
One of the main symptoms of ectopic pregnancy or a pregnancy outside the uterus is vaginal bleeding. The bleeding is very similar to that of menstruation which is accompanied by pain, nausea, and dizziness, so you often feel like you’re experiencing menstruating.

4. miscarriage
Spotting or bleeding can also be an early sign of miscarriage. Therefore, when you have bleeding immediately consult your gynecologist.
