1. Women who are sexually active
Women who have sex several times a week is the most prone to UTI.

Female urethra is slightly shorter than men, so bacteria have a shorter distance to travel.
2. Men in their mid-50s and older
With the increase of age, the prostate gland in men gets bigger which could press the urethra and make it difficult or sometimes impossible to urinate.

3. Postmenopausal women

4. A boy baby or toddler who are not circumcised
If you choose not to have your baby boy circumcised then you should regularly clean up your child’s genitals, as this is the best way to help avoid UTI.
UTI can adversely affect elders, usually in women. Changes in mental status occurs more frequently when you get older.
