The researchers observed the children in general and more widely to find a higher level of autism characteristic. They also never thought that South Korea have an average autism rate higher than the United States. In the United States there is an average of one in 100 children. (more…)

Autism in children can be detected early. According to researchers from the United States, five minutes of scanning tests can help detect autism in 12 months old babies.
According to the Daily Mail, this developmental disorder starts from childhood and persist into adulthood. Unfortunately, it is often not realized until the child grows older. (more…)
Research shows that testosterone and estrogen hormones have opposite effects on gene called RORA. In nerve cells, testosterone would reduce the ability of cells to express or activate RORA genes. Conversely, estrogen will increase the ability of the cell. (more…)
Without realizing, often when seeing another person yawn, we will do the same thing, because yawning can be contagious. For children who rarely respond to other people’s yawn, there is a possibility that the child may be experiencing autism.
Yawning is a reflex action that happens to everybody, it is usually done to draw air in large quantities and is followed by breathing. (more…)
Autism and mental retardation originate in synapse, the junction between cells which constantly send information from one neurons to another in the nervous system. According to researchers from Tufts University in Boston, APC (adenomatous polyposis coli) protein plays a central role in the process of synapse maturation
“Our research proves that the APC protein makes sure both sides of the synapse have balanced growth so it function optimally,” said a senior medical researcher at Tufts University, Michele H. Jacob, according to Science Daily. His team examined the function of APC and found that the absence of normal APC will make synapses unable to mature, both the structure and function. (more…)
