Cancer is a process of uncontrolled abnormal cell growth and development. Under normal circumstances, cells are formed, mature, carry out their intended function, and then die. New cells are constantly regenerated in the body to replace those cells and to maintain normal cellular function.

Most of the people around the world die due to cancer, and one common cause that ties them together is lung cancer. The standard age for the diagnosis of this disease is sixty. Cancer can be broadly classified into two types, small cell (or coat cell) lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. The growth of small cell lung cancer is very quick and can easily spread to the other body parts. This kind of lung cancer is most common among the smokers. Skin cancer is a cancer that is rather common. Fortunately , it is also comparatively easy to see the first sign of skin cancer with self inspection of your skin. But aside from early detection, you can and should do everything in your ability to prevent skin cancer from ever occurring in the first place.

Isn’t it nice to know that the medical profession caused 29,000 future cases of cancer in 2007 from the CT scans it performed on patients (a great tool for future business). Think twice before falling for a heart scan add you hear on the radio, the risk for a woman getting cancer from it is 1 in 270. These are some of the remarkable numbers coming from two new studies published Monday in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
