Men over 55 years old do not need a routine check of prostate cancer
American Urogological Association announced that men over the age of 55 years do not need to have a blood test to detect prostate cancer. Before doing the test for prostate cancer, men aged 55-69 years should consult with their doctor about the risks.
Although other groups suggested that men check themselves regularly to detect prostate cancer, but this group still insisted against routine PSA testing for men aged over 40 years, as reported by NewSer (03/05). (more…)
