Sugar-free Chewing Gums and Soft Drinks Can Damage Tooth
Chewing gum, candy, and carbonated beverages (soft drinks) that are free of sugar, which has been marketed as a healthful beverage alternatives, can damage the teeth, cause stomach problems, and not as promoted: can not lose weight. This was stated by the results of research published in the British Dental Journal (BDJ).
The study revealed that sugar-free foods and beverages consists acid additives which turned out to cause problems because of eroding tooth enamel (glossy coating) on consumer teeth. The finding of the “hidden risks” can affect the sales of these sugar-free beverage products that had been believed to be a healthy product. (more…)
