Researchers at Ohio State University showed the importance of vitamin E for heart health of people who had quit smoking. They showed an improvement in vascular function associated with a particular vitamin E consumption.
This result is known after they conducted a study of smokers who were asked to stop for seven days. After quitting smoking, researchers found an increase in blood vessel function by 2.8 percent.
