Eat More curry to avoid dementia in old age

Curry is a typical Indian cuisine, it infact saves health benefits. Previous research shows that eating curry can prevent you from colon cancer and prolong life. Furthermore, a recent study mention that eating curry can also prevent you from dementia disease or senile in old age.

Research from the Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine in Julich, Germany found that turmeric which is the main ingredient of curry contains a substance called turmerone. This substance is able to promote the proliferation of brain stem cells that later develop into neurons. The development of neurons is then able to strengthen your brain function even if you are an elderly.

“As humans age increases, the brain cells also help grow older. Nevertheless, the consumption of healthy foods can maintain their brain health,” said lead researcher, Dr. Adele Rueger.

The findings are also written in the online journal Stem Cell Research & Therapy, it was also said that in addition to containing turmerone, turmeric also comprised contain curcumin. This substance is known as an anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer substance.
