It was discovered after researchers observed 100 young Korean men. They were divided into two groups. The first group ate about a pound of kimchi every day, while the other group ate only one ounce.

As a result, the group who ate a lot of kimchi in a day for one week experienced a drastic reduction in bad cholesterol, more than participants who only ate a little kimchi every day. However, both groups equally benefited from eating kimchi every day.

Besides known to lower cholesterol, kimchi also contains many nutrients, including vitamins A, B, C, and lactobacillus, and good bacteria that helps the digestive process.

Previous research suggests that eating food containing lactobacillus probiotic every day can lower cholesterol levels in the body.
