As reported by the Daily Mail, the study involved 5,000 respondents and the results were published in the American Journal of Medicine.
“The bad effects of eating like Westerners are not good for health. Fact, the risk of death are higher if the habit of eating unhealthy food combinations are allowed to continue,” said lead researcher Dr. Tasnime Akbaraly from the National Institute of Health and Medical Research in France.
Dr. Akbaraly also suggested that the consumption of sugary foods, refined, sweet meat, refined grains, and fat dairy products should be reduced. Because if not, unhealthy eating patterns could damage the natural aging process and increase the risk of death.
