Eliminate anxiety by eating fish
There have been many studies that mentions the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, including protecting the heart and the brain. Now Japanese researchers also found other benefits of these compounds, which eliminates excessive anxiety.
Omega-3 fatty acids, particularly DHA, commonly found in salmon and sardines. Researchers from National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry (NCNP) in Tokyo uses laboratory mice to analyze the effect of omega-3 fatty acids.
In addition to omega-3, a study headed by Dr. Masayuki Sekiguchi also carried out experiments with omega-6.
Initially, there were two groups of mice given omega-3 fatty acids and omega-6 with a single scale than seven servings. While both groups of mice were treated fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 in the same amount.
Both groups of mice were then given a shock attack and the condition of rats was monitored by researchers to return to its original behavior.
As a result, the first group of mice took 80 seconds to master fear and anxiety. While the second group only takes 42 seconds, according to RocketNews24.
‘That is, we can control and eliminate anxiety quickly if we eat a lot of fish that contain omega-3 fatty acids,’ explains Dr. Sekiguchi.
The study is regarded as good news for experts. Because this is the first step to develop prevention and treatment of patients with excessive anxiety disorders.
