<p>Gum disease itself is caused by bacteria that gathers in the tooth and due to food scraps that are not cleaned. However, can the use of mouthwash shed those leftovers?</p>
<p>Based on earlier research, published last year in the<em> Journal of Clinical Dentistry</em>, antiseptic mouthwash is able to reduce plaque and reduce the risk of gum disease. However, opinions about the efficacy of mouthwash is quite diverse.</p>
<p>&#8220;Mouthwash does reduce plaque, but is not a substitute for a toothbrush,&#8221; said Professor Damien Walmsley of the<em> British Dental Association.</em></p>
<p>&#8220;There is interaction between the compounds in toothpaste and mouthwash. So that it cause bad breath after using it,&#8221; said another expert, Dr Phil Stemmer, of the <em>Fresh Breath Centre</em> in London.</p>
<p>That is why it is recommended to use mouthwash a half hour after brushing your teeth, as reported by the<em> Daily Mail</em>.</p>
<p>In addition, the ingredients in mouthwash should be considered. Such as alcohol that are actually bad for teeth.</p>

<p>In a study published in the <em>JAMA journal Neurology</em> suggests that saturated fat can reduce the amount of <a href="http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/gene/APOE" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><em>apolipoprotein (ApoE)</em></a> chemicals in charge of clearing <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_amyloid" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><em>amyloid beta protein</em></a> in the brain. The more saturated fat consumed, the more amyloid also accumulates in the brain.</p>
<p>If this is left unchecked, it could form the amyloid plaques in the brain and interfere with nerve function. Such plaques are found in people with Alzheimer&#8217;s and related to the suspected cause of the brain disease.</p>
<p>&#8220;Amyloid that is not cleared from the brain could be toxic,&#8221; said researcher Suzanne Craft, of the <em>Wake Forest School of Medicine</em>, as reported by <em>U.S. News</em> (17/06).</p>
<p>These results were found after researchers observed 20 seniors with healthy brain states and 27 seniors with cognitive problems and the signs of Alzheimer&#8217;s. They were asked to go on a diet that contains a lot of saturated fat and no saturated fat.</p>
<p>Through this study, researchers recommend that more people start avoiding foods that contain a lot of saturated fat and eat more foods that can make their brain healthy.</p>

<p>If the child has a nosebleed, parents should do the following steps, as reported by <em>Kids Health</em> (16/06).</p>
<p>1. First, parents should remain calm and not panic. Parents who panic will make the child become confused. Therefore, to calm the child, parents should remain calm.</p>
<p>2. Place the child on your lap, or let the children sit. After that, put the child&#8217;s body bent slightly forward.</p>
<p>3. Push gently on the soft part of the nose. Pinch just below the bony ridge with a clean tissue or cloth. Remember to do it gently.</p>
<p>4. Keep the pressure to stay that way for up to 10 minutes. If removed too soon, bleeding may start again.</p>
<p>5. Do not allow children to lean on, face up, or suck blood from their nosebleed. This will cause the blood to flow to the back of the throat. Children can  cough or vomit.</p>
<p>6. Do not let children touch or pick, or blow air out of their nose after the bleeding is stopped successfully. Nose rubbing, scraping, or touching the inside can hurt and cause bleeding again.</p>
<p>The above steps can stop nosebleeds experienced by children. However, there are several types of bleeding that could not be handled at home and should immediately consult a physician. Watch for the signs below.</p>
<p>1. Children too often experience nosebleeds.</p>
<p>2. Children may have put something into their nose.</p>
<p>3. Easy bruising when a child falls or bruises that appear for no reason.</p>
<p>4. Children often experience heavy bleeding from minor cuts or bleeding that is not just in the nose, for example in the gums and other.</p>
<p>5. When the child began to frequently nosebleeds after taking the drug.</p>
<p>If the child&#8217;s frequent nosebleeds followed by the signs above, you should immediately consult a doctor. It may be that there is a serious reason behind the bleeding experienced by children, and not just a regular nosebleed.</p>
