Four Tricks to Prevent Fatigue When Waking Up
In order for the body to be refreshed when you wake up in the morning, try following these four tricks to prevent fatigue:
1. Bright colors in the bedroom
“Seeing bright colors when you open your eyes, will generate adrenaline and wave of energy,” said Leatrice Eiseman, from Pantone Color Institute, according to Prevention.
Apply the color orange, red, yellow, or fuchsia on a pillow, blanket, or bed linen. When you open your eyes, bright colors will transform fatigue into energy. In fact, breakfast with foods or drinks with bright colors can also make you more excited.
2. Fresh Flowers
Seeing the fresh flowers when you wake up in the morning, will make women more energized and creates a good mood. That’s according to a research by Nancy Etcoff, PhD, of Harvard Medical School and Harvard University Mind / Brain / Behavior Initiative.
3. Set alarm
Turning off an alarm and going back to sleep would interfere sleep quality. You become uneasy when sleeping again. So, set the alarm at the appropriate time.
“Set your alarm when you really need to wake up. Sleep which is not disturbed will make you feel more refreshed when you wake up,” says Jodi Mindell, PhD, director of the Center for Sleep Disorders at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
4. Drinking water
Immediately drink a glass of water after waking up in the morning. This is the best way to replace fluids lost during sleep. Water also instantly generate energy and certainly prevent fatigue.
“Every system in your body needs water. Without enough water, the system in the body must work harder in everything, which can cause you to feel tired. So multiply drinking water to ward off fatigue,” said Holly Andersen, MD, from Weill Cornell Medical Center.
In fact, only 2 percent of decline in water levels in the body have negative effect physically and mentally. You will feel dizzy and sensitive during dehydration. For that, always carry water with you wherever you go. Do not get dehydrated.
