Have a skinny body? Be careful with the threat of premature death attack
Obesity is not the only health problem that is capable of putting a person at high risk of early death. So far it is stated that obesity is able to ‘invite’ a wide variety of health problems such as heart disease and high blood pressure.
But in fact, people who are skinny also has a high risk of early death.
In a study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Public Health, researchers found that those with a BMI or Body Mass Index of less than 18.5 will have a 1.8 times higher risk of developing a wide range of health threats.
“Same with those who are overweight, those with skinny bodies also potentially could suffer a range of diseases. Because their bodies lack nutrients that can keep their immune system,” explains study author , Dr. Joel Ray.
“It is therefore the same as those who are obese, people who are underweight should implement a healthy and balanced diet. They cannot only chase weight gain but forget about the health of their body,” he concluded.
