For a young woman, friendships with many people really give a positive influence on their exercise habits. Each additional 1 no new friends, girls tend to work out an average of 10 minutes longer than usual.
This was revealed in a research funded by the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) and the National Prevention Research Initiative (NPRI). According to the research, women tend to exercise longer while having lots of friends in their social environment.
Specifically described in more detail, the duration of exercise performed on an average weekend adds 10 minutes every time there is an addition of 1 friend. Similarly with physical activity at school, there is an additional average of 4 minutes each addition of 1 friend.
The research involved a number of teenage girls from 11 secondary schools in Bristol, England.
Although evident in girl teenagers, a similar trend is observed in boy teenagers. In boys, regardless of the number of friends they owned the duration of time spent to exercise tend to be the same .
“Research shows that children are easily encouraged to perform physical activity. We want to encourage young people to be more active with their friends,” said Dr. Russell Jago of the University of Bristol who did the research, according to Indiavision.
Exercise habits and physical activity are considered beneficial for the children at the age of growth, until they reach their teens. With physical fitness, children and adolescents can grow more optimal than those who rarely exercise. It was previously also known that physical activity could improve academic achievements of children and adolescents.
Similarly for the long-term benefits, exercise will be more beneficial for children and adolescents. Various studies show that sufficient physical activity can reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart and blood vessels disorders.
Exercising is of course important and could provide many benefit for our health. It is advised not to exercise on an empty stomach because it would be less effective.Recent search: exercise for teenagersTagged with: exercise habit, exericse with friends, friendship exercise habit, teenagers exercise, teenagers exercise habit,
