This was revealed in a research funded by the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) and the National Prevention Research Initiative (NPRI). According to the research, women tend to exercise longer while having lots of friends in their social environment.

The research involved a number of teenage girls from 11 secondary schools in Bristol, England.

“Research shows that children are easily encouraged to perform physical activity. We want to encourage young people to be more active with their friends,” said Dr. Russell Jago of the University of Bristol who did the research, according to Indiavision.
