Know Four Causes of Body Odor

Body odorBody odor occurs when the body sweats. This is caused by the presence of sweat glands found in skin pores. The more the body produce fluid, then it results on too much sweat.

Excessive perspiration can sometimes make activities become uncomfortable. Bad smell also makes us less confident. No wonder, if many companies sell deodaran and fragrances to tackle these problems.

Well, you should at least know the source of body odor which could be affected by several causes, including:

Diet
Lack of nutritious foods in your diet will cause body odor. If you are a lover of spicy and greasy foods, you will have a very strong body odor. Red meat, spices and garlic can also cause bad body odor.

Hair on the armpit
If you never clean your armpit, you’ll spread bad odor. Armpit has a number of apocrine glands (sweat glands) which is quite a lot. Try to shave and wash it regularly to kill bacteria and eliminate body odor.

Pressure or stress
High pressure also triggers excessive sweating. When you feel tense or stress, you will sweat more. Palms of the hands, feet and body starts to secrete sweat, odor starts to come out. When you are tense, your body will also release cortisol (stress hormone). Cortisol serves to assist you in your fight against anxiety by increasing the amount of sweat production.

Digestion
Body odor, feces or urine is a common problem often faced when having a slow metabolism system. Constipation and gastric problems can increase body odor. When you suffer from digestive problems, the body will release toxins that cause odor.

You should also always be aware of bad body odor or other areas of your body. It was previously known that mosquito are most attracted to smelly feet.

For men, it was reported that smell is an indicator of male sexual disease.
