The results of this study were found after researchers observed 762 people aged 65 to 88 years and 597 men aged 55 to 65 years. They were observed for six years and questioned about their activity and the level of vitamin D in the blood.

Researchers found that in the first group of seniors, the low levels of vitamin D leads to an increased risk of physical problems as much as 1.7 times more. While in the younger group is double the risk. Researchers also found that problems began to emerge after three years in the oldest group and six years in the younger group.
