Natural Ingredients to Control Blood Sugar


Keeping blood sugar levels to remain stable for some people is difficult. Especially, for those who have diabetes. In order to control blood sugar, taking drugs is a common practice.

Actually there are other ways you can do to control your blood sudar levels. According to, one way is by consuming the following foods, which are known to lower blood sugar levels.

1. Fenugreek
It has a bitter taste and is effective in lowering blood sugar levels. You can add fenugreek leaves or seeds in your cooking.

You can also boil it in water and drink it. “It is advisable to soak a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in a glass of water overnight. Strain, then drink the water in the morning,” said Dr. Deepali Shastri, Ayurvedic medicine experts from Mumbai.

2. Aloe Vera
Gel of this plant has long been relied as a diabetes drug. “Mix a half teaspoon of bay leaves that have been crushed, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder and one teaspoon of alovera,” said Dr. Deepali.

Stir the mixture until they are blended and consume it at lunch and dinner to help control blood sugar.

3. Basil
“Take a handful of basil leaves. Mix the leaves that had been crushed with a glass of water. Strain, then drink in the morning,” said Dr. Deepali.

4. Mango leaves
Mango leaves are also useful for controlling blood sugar levels. Prepare three to four pieces of mango leaves that have been cleaned. Let it be for one night in water, and drink it the next day.
