Toothache is often triggered by tooth decay and lack of dental care. In addition to medical drugs, herbs can also help relieve pain due to toothaches. Here are some herbs that can cure a toothache, as reported by Healthypro.org.

Clove
Cloves are very effective in relieving toothache. A study published in the Journal of Dentistry in 2006 found that clove oil can relieve toothache.

Tips: Put 2-3 drops of clove oil on a cotton swab and rub it into the affected tooth.

Ginger
According to James A. Duke in his book “The Green Pharmacy”, ginger can help cure toothaches. Ginger works as a counter irritant, which can reduce pain due to toothache.

Tip: Mix a quarter teaspoon of powdered ginger to one-eighth teaspoon of warm water. Then stir to form a thick paste. Dip a piece of cotton into a paste and apply on the aching tooth.

Remember, do not let it touch the gum because it can cause a burning sensation. If the above treatments cause discomfort, immediately rinse your mouth with warm water.
