Neutralize Toxins with Purple Colored Fruits

A research indicates that the consumption of purple fruits like blueberries, blackberries, black currants, or plums, will benefit because they contain important substances that can neutralize toxins in the body. In fact, this substance is believed to be capable to prevent various diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s.

The study, which was initiated by Douglas Kell of the University of Manchester, one of the triggers of degenerative diseases is iron metal exposure that is not perfectly tied so that it poisons the body and damage cells.

Although we often hear that iron is beneficial for  health, these substances can be toxic if absorbed by the body in the wrong form. Iron is beneficial to health when these metals react with other substances in the body. However, if it does not react with other substances, iron can poison the body’s tissues.

These toxic metals also called hydroxyl radicals, which lead to degenerative diseases in different parts of the body.

In an effort to provide protection against toxic metals, it is important for the body to obtain nutrients, which are also called iron chelator. These substances can be attached tightly to the iron and serves to neutralize it.

According to the study, fruit and brightly colored vegetables are good sources of chelator. Likewise, green tea. However, purple fruits are believed to be the best source of chelator because it can effectively bind iron metal.

The report  compiled by Douglas Kell was the first to connect the many disease with exposure to harmful metals in the body. Kell, who published his research in the Archives of Toxicology journal, emphasized the importance of conducting further studies, especially regarding the potential of purple fruit to prevent degenerative diseases.
