Positive breast cancer hormone receptor will develop over the increase of estrogen in the body. While in obese women, estrogen levels are higher, compared to normal-bodied women. This is what allows the case of relapse to be more common in obese women.

Sparano also said more obese patients often have additional serious health problems. Such as heart disease, cholesterol, hypertension, and others. These extra  cases are often prevents a patient from getting the maximum therapies.

“Obesity is clearly associated with increased risk, and even women who are not obese, but overweight also experience increased risk,” said sparano, according to Health Day News.
