Protect the little ones from Food Allergies
If your baby or your child suffer from food allergies, do not worry, it’s not your fault. The following steps can protect your child from the possibility of food allergies:
1. Breastfeed your baby
If possible, give exclusive breastfeeding for 4-6 months. Breastfeeding can protect them from food allergies.
2. Do not introduce solid foods too early.
Try to wait until 6 months before giving your baby solid foods.
3. Avoid foods that commonly cause allergies.
Do not give cow milk to your baby until his/her first birthday. Introduce eggs when s/he is 2 years old. Do not give nuts or fish until s/he is 3 years old.
4. Watch what your eating during pregnancy
Avoid foods that cause allergies during pregnancy. Try to avoid the consumption of nuts, especially if you have a history of allergy in the family.
