Researchers discovered molecular causes that makes breast cancer become aggressive
Breast cancer had always been feared by women. There have been many women who die from breast cancer, and not least because of the long treatment of this disease. But recently researchers made ??a breakthrough by finding the molecular causes of breast cancer cells to become aggressive.
Researchers have discovered a molecule that causes cancer cells to continue to grow and spread very quickly, so that it make breast cancer spread quickly. Once researchers found the molecule , they believe they can use cancer care to be more optimal than ever before.
This finding also provides hope for women who have HER2-type breast cancer cells that usually spreads faster than other types of breast cancer. There are approximately 10,000 women affected by breast cancer each year, and 7,000 of them are not likely to respond well to treatment provided by a drug called Herceptin, as reported by the Daily Mail.
These results were found in a research of Bart’s Cancer Institute at Queen Mary University of London. They hope that in the future women can be examined to determine whether they have a molecule that causes breast cancer cells become aggressive. If found, they will be given another, more appropriate treatment in conjunction with Herceptin.
Previously, researchers were concerned with the least available treatments for women with aggressive cancer cells. But with this discovery they hope it will be able to provide a new type of treatment that is more optimal to be able to stop the growth of breast cancer cells.
