What is colon plaque?

I don’t know if you have seen the pictures of colon mucus more technically known as mucoid plaque, but if you have you really know the meaning of the word GROSS! It looks like a diseased string of slimy sausage and smells even worse. Colon plaque or mucoid plaque is a controversial term that Dr. Richard Anderson coined to cover a number of intestinal health issues. His contention was that these issues were all related and resulted in the body producing this substance in response to various foreign elements it had to deal with.
