lung disease

Lungs, as one of the vital organs in the human body works to get oxygen and remove carbon dioxide when we breath.

As a vital organ, apparently there are a variety of diseases associated with lungs.

Here are signs that your lungs is in trouble, as reported by Prevention:

1. You always run out of energy

Do you find it hard or that you can not perform everyday  tasks without sleeping for a while?

Your cells need oxygen to produce energy that makes your motor running.

When the lungs do not provide enough oxygen to your body, you start to feel tired often.

Moreover, relatively low energy can start a vicious fatigue cycle.

2. You have trouble breathing

Sometimes shortness of breath is the result of having too much air trapped in the chest.

3. You are confused

Do you know your brain uses 15 to 20 percent of your body’s oxygen supply?

Your brain needs oxygen to make you think clearly and if you are low in O2 levels, it means that you have very low levels of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are very high, this could cause confusion or make a person drowsy.

4. You lose weight but do not know why.

Lung disease brings many problems in the body that can make you lose weight unexpectedly.

And it does not mean you lose your body fat. In COPD, there can be a lot of inflammation in the body that cause loss of muscle mass.

5. You constantly cough

A cough that does not go away, and mixed with mucus, blood or fever, can be a sign of lung problems.

This is especially worrisome if you are a smoker, because it is a classic sign of chronic bronchitis or emphysema.

6. You have chest pain.

Chest pain is a hallmark of heart problems, but the lungs can bring pain as well.

Inflammation of the inner lining of the chest irritation can cause chest pain called pleurisy.
