December 24, 2011 By: Daniel Category: Health

sleep position affect moodWant to get a good mood all day? It’s easy, just sleep on the left side of your bed.

According to the Daily Mail, a study conducted by the Premier Inn showed that the position of sleep can affect your mood throughout the day.

Those who have a tendency to sleep on the left of the mattress would seem more happy than their couples who sleep on the right.

A research involving three thousand respondents found that those who sleep on the left generally are more upbeat, positive minded, and are able to handle the workload and stress throughout the day.

More than a quarter of respondents who sleep on the left side of the mattress feels to have positive thinking towards life in general. Meanwhile, only 18 percent of respondents who sleep on the right feel the same.

Mood of those who sleep on the left also explains why more than half of respondents refused to swap positions with their partner.

Two-thirds of those who sleep on the left feel more calm than their partners when facing crisis. They also tend to be more confident, and for this, they are more likely to have a steady job.

In addition, 31 percent of respondents who slept on the left loved their job than those who sleeps on the right which only amounted to 18 percent.

However, not all are bad. Those who sleep on right side tends to get more from their lives than their spouse.

“This study clearly shows a pattern between the bedside and mood when awake. So it is true , if the proverb says that getting out of bed in the wrong position,” said Claire Haigh, spokeswoman for Premier Inn.
