Scientists Develop Artificial Blood for Wounded Soldiers

Wounded Soldier PictureWhen in certain conditions,  sometimes someone needs blood quickly, like for example in conditions of war. Now researchers have developed  fake blood that can be used in emergency situations.

United States scientists have developed ‘artificial blood‘ that can be used for soldiers wounded in battles. Genetically-engineered blood is made by taking cells from the umbilical cord, then uses a machine that could mimic the workings of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. (more…)
