Football Players Are Vulnerable to Heart Disease
Professional rugby of American football players in general can enjoy a longer lifespan than the average people. But, according to a study in America, football players are more likely to die from heart disease.
The research which was reported in the ‘American Journal of Cardiology’ followed more than 3,400 football players from the National Football League (NFL) who were active between the years 1959-1988. This study found that 334 athletes have died in 2007. This amount is only half of the life expectancy in the United States. (more…)
