Heart Scan Radiation Increase Cancer Risk

A team of Canadian researchers analyzed data from 82,861 patients who survived heart attacks between April 1996 and March 2006 and had no history of cancer. One year after the heart attack, 77 percent of patients had undergone at least one cardiac procedure with a low dose of radiation, such as CT angiography and nuclear scanning. (more…)
