Washing Machine could Spread Bacteria and Germs
A study found, 25 percent of washing machines in homes contaminated by the fecal-borne bacteria and pass it on dirty clothes. Fecal bacteria, including salmonella, hepatitis A, rotavirus and adenovirus.
According to Dr. Charles Gerba, a researcher from the University of Arizona in Tucson, two dirty clothes bring tenth of sewage bacteria equivalent to a quarter peanut seeds. Although detergent and water could remove germs, and bacteria during the wash, some bacteria were left behind and spread in the washing machine.
