Meditation is more effective in relieving pain than morphine. A recent study revealed that meditating for 80 minutes can relieve pain faster and better than morphine that has been known to be able to relieve pain quickly.
This study involved 15 healthy people but have never meditated before. In the initial phase, they were taught techniques of meditation and focusing the mind for 20 minutes. This exercise teaches them to concentrate and regulate breathing. (more…)
