Lack of Salt Increase Heart Attack and Stroke Risks

lack of saltDoctors always  gives advice to reduce salt consumption because it is not good for health. But now a new study shows the opposite. Reducing salt increases the risk of death from heart attack and stroke.

The American Medical Association made a research for eight years on 3,681 healthy people in Europe who are in their 50s to 60s. In that study it was found that those who consumed at least one teaspoon of salt per day did not show the development of health than those who ate more salt. (more…)

HIV Patients Are At High Risks of Stroke

The incidence of stroke continues to increase in people with HIV. Experts suspect anti-viral drugs consumed by people living with HIV lead to stroke risk.

No direct link between HIV treatment to the case of stroke have been found, but the tendency of people living with HIV to suffer a stroke leads to the notion that HIV medications make cholesterol and triglyceride levels to rise.
