Taking headache drugs could actually cause headaches

Headaches that suddenly appear has many causes. Even taking headache drugsĀ or analgesics can cause and exacerbate headaches.

That is the result of a study conducted recently. Research done at a health clinic in the UK said that taking sedatives or painkillers can further aggravate your illness.

“Taking painkillers can cause effects of the body to become immune to the effects of the drug. Your body becomes accustomed to this type of drug, and then can make your body become addicted. As a result, the headache will get worse when the consumption of the drug is stopped,” said the study.

“About 1 in 10 patients experience headaches due to this. Medicine containing codeine or caffeine like syndol solpadeine and potentially make you become addicted.”
