Stress could be quite dangerous, it was previously known that chronic stress causes Alzheimer’s disease. Besides that, it is also known that stress weakens memory ability.

But there is no need to worry because there are many ways to relieve stress that you experience. Various countries have a recipe to eliminate fatigue and relax yourself. Here are some of them, according to Oprah:

Sweden: “Sweet break” every day
In Sweden, many companies have special breaks for all employees for several minutes, usually at 10 am and 3 pm. Usually in this break they serve coffee and snacks like the tradition of this country since the 1700s. It is clear that you can beat stress with the right choice of foods.

This tradition is called Fika, which is usually done in the workplace with a friend. Fika scheduled at a busy day in the afternoon, complete with snacks and cakes or chocolate would surely restore the spirit.

Studies from MIT found that those who socialize with colleagues at noon, 10-15 percent experienced an increase in productivity than those who are alone. Meanwhile, eating and drinking in front of the computer tends to make people overeat.

India: massage on the head and shoulder
According to Ayurvedic medicine, massage of the head and shoulders does not only to balance the chakras or energy centers, but also reduces stress, stimulates the lymphatic system and relieve migraines.

“This therapy can also help patients to sleep better, improve concentration and become spirited again,” said a certified massage therapist based in New York Denise Gallon, PhD.

The trick, place three fingers on the back of the neck on the part that connects to the head. With elbows bent, push your fingers out of each other down to the base of the skull. Perform for 30 seconds while breathing.

Japan: Not wearing shoes in the office
Not only do they take off their shoes while at home, employees in Japan always take off their stiletto high heels at work. In addition to feeling comfortable, it helps employees to focus because there is no sense of cramping and pain due to use of high heel shoes. So, there’s nothing wrong with sandals to be stored under your desk.

Although Japan is known as workaholics, the state also has laws that require companies to give holiday pay to employees for 20 days plus 16 national holidays.
