Three Instant Ways to Reduce Pain

Pain can come from many things, ranging from physical to psychological disorders. Whatever the cause, you definitely want the pain to go away or at least reduce it.

Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, author of “Real Cause, Real Cure” reveals how to relieve pain quickly. Well, here are three tricks that are pretty easy to do and you can make as a “medicine” which is quite effective as a pain reliever.

1. Massage
According to dr. Teitelbaum, muscle pain is a pain that most often occurs. If you feel stiffness and pain around your muscles, try pressing the muscles gently and give a massage for about 45 seconds.

“Press until there is white color on your fingers and hold it up to 45 seconds. At first it will hurt, but this method increases the flow of energy to create a more relaxed muscles and reduce pain,” said dr. Teitelbaum, as quoted from prevention.

Then, if the pain appears in areas of the body that are difficult to reach, such as your back, shoulder, or neck, just take advantage of a tennis ball. Lie on the floor, place the ball in the center of the pain and move your body, feel the pressure of the ball on your back. Do it for about one to five minutes.

2. Listen to music
Listening to music can help reduce the intensity of pain in people who experience chronic back pain. This is result of a French scientist research. Another study found that nearly half of cancer patients who listened to music for 30 minutes experience reduced pain by 50 percent.

“Listen to your favorite music, focus on the rhythm of the song which is fun and not in the pain. This will help you not to really feel it,” says Dr. Teitelbaum.

3. Oil or gel
Some warm gel, ointment or warm oil is known to help increase blood flow in the area of the body. The content of menthol and camphor sensor can also help prevent pain, so you do not really feel it.
