Too much sleep during pregnancy can harm the fetus

Adequate rest and sleep quality is often recommended for pregnant women. For the rest would make several organs that produce hormones faster helpful for fetal growth.

However, a study of dailymail.co.uk quoted reveals that too much sleep during pregnancy can also endanger the health of the mother and fetus. And unfortunately this is rarely known by pregnant women.

“Lack of body movement can cause stiff muscles and your bones brittle. Plus if you often lie, it can increase the risk of developing blood clots in the legs that may be moving to the lungs, which certainly would be fatal to the health of your body,” said study author Anthony Sciscione of the Delaware Center for Maternal and Fetal Medicine, USA. “Lack of movement can also increase the risk of pregnant women for gestational diabetes disease or diabetes that occurs during pregnancy due to increased blood levels of crazy.”

Break was much needed during pregnancy. But also do not make you lazy to move. Staying physically active is beneficial for your pregnancy such as yoga and swimming.
