Towels, The dirtiest object always used by human

Towels are objects that you use every day. Of course it is important as it is used to dry your body after bathing or sweating. But did you know that a towel is able to become an object that is a hotbed of germs?

As reported by dailymail.co.uk, in addition to kitchen towels, towels are also objects that could be a place of growth of germs, bacteria, and viruses.

“When you dry your body with a towel, bacteria and dead skin on the body are also lifted. Then the bacteria will grow because the towel is damp,” said Professor Anthony Hilton, head of biological and biomedical sciences at Aston University. “Materials of towel that easily absorbs liquids, increase the growth.”

He also suggested that you should always wash towels at least once a week. In addition, washing process should also be separated from other clothes so that bacteria from other clothes are not absorbed into the towel. “When washing towels, it should be washed with a high temperature to kill bacteria. It would be better if you add bleach when you wash it.”
