In a research report published in the Archives of Internal Medicine journal, researchers found that the group was asked to reduce the habit of sitting and the emphasis on eating fruits and vegetables have the greatest health benefits.
The group that was asked for ‘a lot of exercise and reduced fat foods’ tend to take more exercise over time and reduce daily caloric intake from fat as much as 11.4 to 9.1 percent. But this group only slightly reduced the time to sit and do not eat so many fruits and vegetables.
On the other hand, the group asked to ‘reduce to sit and eat lots of fruits and vegetables’ and then a lot of exercise like the person who asked for a lot of exercise. This group of participants reduce the consumption of fatty foods even though not required to lower fat intake.
The researchers concluded that reducing the habit of sitting and eating more fruits and vegetables will eventually limit the intake of fatty foods as well as triggering people to do a lot of exercise.
