Well, it is because it is also suggested that approximately 40% of the world’s population have problems with flaking. Flaking tends to occur when you skin tries to renew itself and becomes out of balance. You dead skin cells will then begin to shed from your scalp at a fast rate. With that said, itching and flaking is just like any other problem, once you acknowledge the problem and start to understand it, then you can start to control the problem.
So you are experiencing some flaking and dry scalp? That’s okay; let’s start to understand the problem.
Your skin is always under renewal. Your skin cells are always making and building new skin cells to replace the ones that die off. There is certain science that claims the renewal process takes place anywhere from 21 to 24 days. During this time your scalp will start forming new scalp cells. While new cells are being formed, the old cells are shed off. Now, if your scalp has a proper moisture balance, the oils that are secreted from the “sebaceous” glands will start to help out in the exfoliation process. If you experience flaking and itching, then this means that your body’s moisture balance has become “out of sync”. This will also cause the exfoliation process not to happen at the normal rate.
