Vitamin D is potent to relieve a migraine?

The research which was presented at the American Headache Society found that 40 percent of people who experience migraines have low vitamin D levels. People who lack vitamin D are also known to experience a migraine at a young age.
In another study in the Journal of Headache Pain, it was showed that migraine is more widely experienced by people who live in the highlands. This is likely to occur in migraine triggered by weather and lack of light on the plateau.
Scientists have recently discovered that some parts of the brain have vitamin D receptors and enzymes that help convert vitamin D into a form that can be used by the body. This explains why vitamin D deficiency can affect the brain and cause headaches, including migraines.
If you experience frequent migraines, in addition to knowing what the triggers of the migraine, you should also try to check your vitamin D levels. It may be that vitamin D deficiency is the cause of migraine that is experienced. If it is the case, then eating foods rich in vitamin D could be one way to cure your migraine.
