Walking can o prevent obesity and diabetes. Walking also can relieve depression, stress, increase the body’s metabolic system, and even reduce the likelihood of hip fracture by 40%.

“The physical changes because of walking may not be immediately visible, but if you do it regularly, a half hour walk a day can reduce all chronic diseases and premature aging,” said Dr. James Brown of the School of Life and Health Sciences at Aston University.

He stressed out that when your body is not trained to perform physical activity, your body is likened to become rusty like a machine. As a result, the body becomes tired and unable to function properly. “And before you know it, the physical decline is capable of carrying a decrease in your mental health as well,” he added.
