Health Tips – Many people feels sleep after eating. Actually, this condition is not normal, because after a meal, the body should produce energy that makes it fresh. But if you’re always sleepy after eating, you should know the causes.
If you feel sleepy, then it’s sign that your body needs a rest. But if it you’re always sleepy after eating, it is a sign that something is wrong in the food, the enzyme or the condition of the blood sugar levels.

1. Enzyme deficiency
The enzyme can be described as workers in the body, such as a house that would not be built without a worker even though the ingredients is complete. Enzymes break down food consumed into smaller units so it can be absorbed by the body. Enzymes can also serve as a catalyst to make something happen.
There are three types of enzyme needed by the body to digest food, which are the digestive enzymes secreted by the salivary glands, stomach, pancreas, endocrine cells and small intestine. Second, an enzyme found in all raw foods consumed. Third, the metabolic enzyme that functions as a catalyst, to produce energy, remove dirt and toxin detox.
While we were eating, the body enzymes works very hard to digest all the food intake. Because it is too hard work, your body feels tired and exhausted, but the food eaten should provide energy.
But for those who lack the enzyme, the food you eat can not be energy because the absorption of nutrients is disrupted. As a result when the enzyme is tired, there are no energy intake and that is why a person becomes sleepy.
2. Food Combining
Most people do not know about food combining, namely how to combine foods to be used by the body as nutrients.
Some foods require special enzymes to be digested, such as proteins require protease, amylase require carbohydrates and fats require lipase. When a person is eating protein and carbohydrates at the same time, it could lead to conflict within the digestive enzymes.
Try to combine the protein with non-starch vegetables (green vegetables, but not potatoes or carrots), combining carbohydrates with vegetables, grains, fruits to consume only 60-80 percent of food or eating raw or steamed. Combining these foods can make someone feel less sleepy and add more energy.
3. The influence of one neuron
The reason someone is sleepy after eating is orexin neurons. This neurons are located in the hypothalamus, which is part of the brain that regulates many processes, and almost all hormones.
When blood sugar rises, The orexin neurons cannot work optimally.
